“We love our jobs!” Systems Thinking and Participatory Action Research for the future of neurodiversity and skilled employment
ORIGINAL RESEARCH ARTICLE • UNDER REVIEW AT NEURODIVERSITY • 2026
This study convened a group of neurodivergent lived-experience and employment experts to identify the most urgent problems in neurodiversity and skilled employment and to design strategies for change, using qualitative systems-thinking methods. It points to employee wellbeing, workplace climate, disability pressure, and mutually beneficial relationships, rather than skills-building alone, as key points of leverage for a future in which neurodivergent people love their jobs.
